Auxiliary Volunteer Committees

Membership

Coordinates the recruitment, interviewing, training and proper placement of new Auxiliary volunteers. Volunteer applications can be found at the Front Lobby Information Desk and at the Corner Gift Shop in the hospital.

Orientation and Public Relations

Coordinates the orientation of new members to their assigned area of volunteer work and informs the hospital staff and the public about the Auxiliary’s work at Dartmouth General Hospital to improve patient comfort.

Telephone

Informs all volunteers regarding the Auxiliary's upcoming fundraising and community events, and any other pertinent Auxiliary information.

Publicity

Coordinates the publicity for Auxiliary fundraising events.

Program

Coordinates the scheduling of guest speakers for the monthly Auxiliary General meetings.

Newsletter

Coordinates the development, submission, writing and publishing of articles for inclusion in the Auxiliary Newsletter. The DGH Auxiliary Newsletter is published twice a year (Spring and Fall).

Office Coordinator

Oversees the administration of the Auxiliary office in the Dartmouth General Hospital.

Constitution and By-Laws

Chaired by the Past President, the committee constantly reviews and updates the Auxiliary's Constitution and By-Laws.

Nomination Committee

Coordinates the replacement of key executive, chair and committee positions within the Auxiliary.

Grocery Tapes -Sobeys

Collects the Sobey's Grocery tapes from Auxiliary members, and other contributors. The tapes are a source of revenue generously donated by Sobeys.
