The Difference It Makes

The Above and Beyond Capital Campaign is a significant turning point for healthcare in our province. It represents a $13 million step that will leave a $150 million footprint on health services delivery in our community.

This investment is the largest to date since the hospital first opened its doors in 1976.  The Nova Scotia Government will fund $111 million in facilities’ construction and expansion, while our Hospital’s campaign is focused on a central priority: to place the very latest tools, technologies and equipment in the hands of our outstanding medical professionals who care for our community members.

The Above and Beyond Capital Campaign will allow the Dartmouth General Hospital to expand and improve health services delivery to our patient base and to the broader community of HRM.

The Dartmouth General has earned its long-standing reputation of having a collaborative and innovative team and the tools and technology funded by the Foundation’s campaign will only allow us to do more.

Campaign Priorities include funding tools and technology in the following areas:

  • New Surgical Centre - $4,000,000
  • Intensive & Intermediate Care Units - $4,000,000
  • Ambulatory Care & Endoscopy Centre - $3,000,000
  • 5th Floor Inpatient Unit - $1,000,000
  • Diagnostic Imaging Centre - $500,000
  • Patient Experience Technologies - $500,000
