DGH Auxiliary Volunteer Programs
Dartmouth General Hospital Auxiliary members are dedicated individuals who care about our hospital and our community. They contribute their time and talents in a variety of ways and have been raising and contributing funds for the benefit of the Dartmouth General Hospital’s patients and families since 1973. To date, the Auxiliary, through various fundraising events organized by its members, has contributed more than $2 million to the Dartmouth General Hospital. This is their way of enriching their lives by volunteering their time to serve others in the community. Our Volunteers volunteer in a variety of quality programs and receive excellent training.
Volunteering at the Corner Shoppe
The Dartmouth General Hospital Auxiliary operates the “Corner Shoppe” located at the first-floor lobby entrance of the Dartmouth General Hospital at 325 Pleasant Street. Corner Shoppe volunteer positions include: manager, shift scheduler, bookkeeper, buyers for giftware and candy and sundries, as well as cashiers.
For those patients and family members who are unable to visit the Auxiliary’s Corner Shoppe, Auxiliary volunteers also operate a Corner Shoppe Cart, which makes regular visits to the patient rooms and rest areas within the Hospital. All funds raised by the gift shop go direct back into support Dartmouth General Hospital.
