Annual Lobster Dinner and Auction

The Lobster Dinner & Auction, proudly presented by Conrad Bros Ltd, has been a staple event for the Dartmouth General for 40 years. This iconic event has helped raise over $3 million for the hospital throughout the years. The event will take place at Fisherman’s Cove in Eastern Passage on Saturday, June 14th, 2025. Experience the tradition of the Lobster Feast in a luxury seaside tent, with live entertainment, an online auction, the ever-famous live auction and so much more!

DGH Foundation Annual Radiothon

The Annual Radiothon is an amazing venture, broadcast over several radio stations, with hospital staff banding together to take phone calls, give interviews, and help bring the hype to the event!

Holiday Magic: A VanWart Production

Since 1992, Van Wart Productions of Halifax has been bringing delight to the stage through the Holiday Magic showcase.

Holiday Magic is a family-friendly, holiday themed stage production as well as a pre-recorded television broadcast. This variety show was created and sponsored by Halifax’s VanWart Productions to raise funds and awareness for local charities, and again this year the Dartmouth General Hospital Foundation is the delighted recipient.

Dr. Gerald Burns Lecture

Dr. Gerald Burns practiced general surgery at Dartmouth General Hospital for more than 20 years. He was instrumental in the establishment of the surgery department at the hospital and was Dartmouth General Hospitals’ first Chief of Surgery.

Throughout his professional career he was committed to the education of his peers as well as to all members of the healthcare team. This commitment to learning provided the motivation for the establishment of the Dr. Gerald Burns Memorial Lecture Series that has occurred annually since 2002.
