The Dartmouth General Hospital Foundation invites all members of the community to participate in our mural photo contest to have your work chosen to be represented in our hospital! With Dartmouth General’s $150M Redevelopment Project well underway, new spaces will soon be opened in the upcoming months. As part of the hospital’s interior design for this project, murals will be installed in these new areas.
There are 11 larger landscape murals in multiple waiting areas and hallways throughout the hospital. There are also 36 smaller portrait murals in patient rooms on our new 5th floor inpatient unit. We ask you to submit a piece that reflects the theme, “City of Lakes”, a theme that embodies Dartmouth and showcases different local bodies of water (Sullivan’s Pond, Banook Lake, Fisherman’s Cove, Halifax Harbour, Shubie Canal etc.).
The Foundation, with help of a selection committee, will evaluate and determine which photography is chosen for each of the murals. If your work is chosen, your name will be recognized. We encourage everyone to submit a photo and help brighten the lives of our patients and visitors!
The contest deadline is June 21, 2019.
