Dartmouth General’s new role as a leader in healthcare innovation has elevated the importance of working with the latest technology and modern equipment to provide the best possible patient
care. As old equipment is retired and new equipment is purchased, there is an opportunity for better diagnoses and a wider choice of treatments and therapies.
To further improve patient care, Dartmouth General is creating a new Pelvic Health Suite, located within DGH’s Outpatient Centre, to focus on urology and gynecology services. The Pelvic Health Suite will be the new home to cystoscopy and hysteroscopy procedures and will support increased patient comfort, reduce wait times, and promote efficiencies within the departments of urology and gynecology.
New equipment like the Thulium Laser, used to treat bladder and kidney stones, flexible cystoscopes, and ambulatory hysteroscopes will be used to diagnose and treat patients. Placing the latest tools and technologies in the hands of the outstanding medical
professionals who care for us is an important investment and top priority for the DGH Foundation.
