It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, Elisabeth Tshibola Ngalula, who departed this life on June 23, 2025.

She spent the last 15 years of her life in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, a place she came to love and call home. Her life was marked by unwavering love, deep faith, and a boundless generosity that touched everyone she encountered.

She is survived by her loving husband, Philippe Babady-Bila, and her five children (Esther, Henriette, Solange, Jerry, and Rose) along with their respective spouses, all of whom she loved deeply and welcomed fully into her heart. She was a proud and joyful grandmother to 15 grandchildren, with one more lovingly anticipated. She is also survived by her dear brother, Simon Kalala. Her nurturing spirit extended far beyond her immediate family, embracing in-laws, nieces, nephews, and siblings with the same warmth and care that defined her life.

Professionally, before retiring in 2023, she was a cherished early childhood educator at Garderie Soleil (North Bay, ON) then at Garderie Le Petit Voilier (Dartmouth, NS), where her gentle soul and nurturing heart left an indelible mark on both children and colleagues. She was admired for her patience, kindness, and genuine joy in helping others.

A woman of deep Catholic faith, she lived each day with grace and devotion, embodying her beliefs through her actions. Her spirituality was her compass, guiding her through life’s joys and challenges with optimism, humility, and a calm, compassionate heart.

Her strength in the face of illness was remarkable, and the family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the staff of Dartmouth General Hospital for their exceptional care, as well as to all friends and loved ones who supported her with love and prayers.

Visitation will be held at St. Vincent de Paul Church in Dartmouth on July 4, 2025. A funeral mass will follow on July 5, 2025, at the same church, with burial to take place the same day. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in her memory to the Dartmouth General Hospital Foundation.

Though her physical presence is no longer with us, her light will continue to shine through the countless lives she touched. She will be remembered always for her kind heart, unwavering faith, and the love she so freely gave to all.
